Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed the Bharatiya Janata Party’s election manifesto, emphasizing a vision centered on progress, welfare, and effective governance.
Sarma highlighted the party’s commitment to protecting Assam’s residents, boosting economic advancement, and cracking down on illegal immigration, particularly from Bangladesh.
The manifesto includes plans to address land encroachments, introduce laws against “love jihad” to preserve social cohesion, invest significantly in infrastructure, and allocate funds for flood control measures.
Sarma also pledged government jobs for two lakh youths, support for entrepreneurship, free essential commodities for impoverished families, and tuition-free education from preschool to university level.
The BJP aims to enhance access to healthcare and education by establishing medical, engineering, and regular colleges in each district, along with providing financial aid to women and increasing monthly assistance under the Orunodoi scheme.
