Assam Rifles recently carried out a two-day drone exercise in Nagaland’s Peren district to enhance tactical surveillance and technical skills. The exercise, held at the Drone Training Node in Jalukie, included flight drills and situational simulations focusing on unmanned aerial systems’ deployment in various operational roles. The force’s Deputy Inspector General, Brig M.S. Jamwal, oversaw the exercise and commended the teams’ readiness and technical setups.
The Deputy Inspector General emphasized the importance of aerial technology for operational success and urged personnel to master evolving platforms for regional security enhancement. The event concluded with successful tactical demonstrations showcasing seamless coordination and technical expertise, highlighting the force’s commitment to technological innovation. In a separate event, the Mopin Marathon in Aalo, Arunachal Pradesh, brought together civilians and Army personnel in a celebration of community, culture, and wellness.
The marathon, held in conjunction with the Mopin festival, saw enthusiastic participation in 5 km and 10 km categories. It symbolized togetherness, prosperity, and collective wellbeing, fostering mutual trust and shared purpose through sport. The event not only promoted physical fitness and a healthier lifestyle but also strengthened community bonds through a blend of sport and tradition. Cash prizes were awarded to winners, reflecting Aalo’s festive spirit, cultural pride, and commitment to healthy living.
