The Assam Rifles organized a drone awareness and training session for Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel in Agartala, Tripura’s capital. This initiative aimed to enhance preparedness against emerging technological threats, focusing on the increasing use of drones in civilian and security sectors. The programme included classroom sessions on drone familiarization and practical training segments for hands-on experience in drone operations.
Experts from Assam Rifles provided insights on different drone types, capabilities, and security risks, emphasizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for drone identification and response strategies. The training also involved live drone demonstrations, teaching participants basic handling techniques and real-time functionalities of various drone models. Such joint training efforts are crucial for strengthening coordination among security agencies and improving operational efficiency.
The training session not only increased technical awareness among CISF personnel but also instilled confidence in handling drone-related situations effectively. Participants found the training timely and relevant in the current security landscape. The Assam Rifles remains committed to conducting capacity-building exercises to maintain high levels of preparedness and synergy among security forces in the region.
