The Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the CISF, organized a multi-agency training exercise at Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala to boost coordination and readiness among security personnel. The training aimed to enhance inter-agency synergy and operational preparedness for safeguarding critical infrastructure. Assam Rifles personnel shared security expertise, response protocols, and coordinated actions to refine the response mechanisms of participating agencies.

The exercise provided a platform for various agencies to practice coordinated drills, exchange best practices, and improve situational awareness in handling potential security threats at the airport. It highlighted the commitment of Assam Rifles and CISF to ensuring robust security and seamless coordination among agencies responsible for protecting vital installations. Assam Rifles reiterated its dedication to assisting civil administration and sister security agencies in capacity building to effectively address emerging security challenges.

Earlier, Assam Rifles conducted a drone awareness and training session for CISF personnel in Agartala to address the increasing use of drones in civilian and security sectors. The program aimed to familiarize CISF personnel with the evolving challenges posed by drones and equip them with necessary skills for effective response. The training included a classroom module on drone familiarization and practical sessions where participants gained hands-on experience in drone operations.

Such joint training initiatives are crucial for strengthening inter-agency coordination and enhancing operational efficiency. The program not only improved technical awareness among CISF personnel but also boosted their confidence in managing drone-related situations. Assam Rifles continues its capacity-building efforts to maintain high levels of preparedness and synergy among security forces in the region.

The CISF, responsible for securing several airports in the Northeastern region, including Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala, plays a vital role in ensuring airport security. Last month, Assam Rifles conducted a two-day drone exercise in Peren district, Nagaland, focusing on enhancing tactical surveillance and technical handling skills.
