Atletico Madrid secured a spot in the semifinals of Spain’s Copa del Rey with a dominant 5-0 victory over Real Betis. The match saw Atletico taking control early on, with David Hancko scoring the opener from a Koke corner kick. New signing Ademola Lookman was active, contributing to Atletico’s strong performance.

Giuliano Simeone extended Atletico’s lead in the 30th minute after a setup by Matteo Ruggeri, while Lookman added a third goal just before halftime. Despite an injury setback for Atletico’s Pablo Barrios, the team continued its momentum. Antoine Griezmann and Thiago Almada further solidified Atletico’s lead with goals in the second half.

The two teams are set to face each other again in La Liga at Atletico’s Metropolitano Stadium on Sunday. Barcelona, Athletic Club, and Real Sociedad have also advanced to the semifinals of the Copa del Rey, with the final scheduled for April 18.
