After controversy arose over statements made by Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Misra regarding the 1992 Babri Masjid demolition, Hindu saints and religious figures in Ayodhya have come forward to back him. They criticized former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav for ordering the firing on ‘Karsevaks’ during that time. Misra highlighted the difference in leadership approaches between Kalyan Singh and Mulayam Singh Yadav during the crisis.
Mahant Sitaram Das Ji Maharaj of Saket Bhavan Temple praised Misra’s remarks, emphasizing that administrative decisions are influenced by those in power. He pointed out that the gunshots at ‘Karsevaks’ were fired on Mulayam Singh Yadav’s orders, not by Misra. Mahant Sitaram Das accused Mulayam Singh Yadav of being anti-Ram Bhakts.
Additionally, Mahant Sitaram Das expressed confidence in Misra’s dedication to serving the country regardless of the ruling government. He affirmed Misra’s devotion to Lord Ram and dismissed allegations against him as a conspiracy by the Samajwadi Party. Mahant Raju Das of Hanumangarhi supported Misra’s stance, stating that top government officials are influenced by the Chief Minister’s directives.
Mahant Raju Das highlighted the Chief Minister’s responsibility in decision-making, citing the current CM Yogi Adityanath as an example. He blamed Mulayam Singh Yadav for the firing incident, alleging his bias towards Muslims. Another temple saint in Ayodhya condemned the incident, attributing the actions to Mulayam Singh Yadav’s government.
