The gripping trailer for Log Out is finally here, and it brings with it a bold warning about the perils of modern-day phone addiction and the fragile world of online fame. With Babil Khan leading the charge in this psychological thriller, the film is all set to explore the eerie consequences of living life through screens.

Directed by Amit Golani and written by Biswapati Sarkar, Log Out is scheduled to premiere on ZEE5 Global on April 18. The film also stars Rasika Dugal, Nimisha Nair, and Gandharv Dewan, rounding out a powerful ensemble cast ready to tackle one of the most pressing issues of our time — our obsession with digital validation.

The Plot: Social Media’s Dark Underbelly

At the heart of the story is Pratyush, a 26-year-old social media influencer portrayed by Babil Khan. On the brink of hitting 10 million followers, his life appears perfect from the outside — but things take a sinister turn when an anonymous fan traps him in a twisted game that threatens everything he’s built.

As the line between online fame and real-life danger blurs, Log Out exposes how digital addiction can spiral into a psychological trap. The film becomes a chilling reflection of how technology, when unchecked, can consume and isolate us.

Behind the Lens: A Vision Rooted in Reality

Director Amit Golani shapes Log Out as more than just a thriller — it’s a deep dive into how people have become emotionally tethered to their screens. The film taps into the helplessness and anxiety that stem from constant digital connection and the fear of missing out.

Writer Biswapati Sarkar echoes this, emphasizing that the story mirrors our current reality, where detaching from the digital world feels almost impossible. The narrative aims to hold up a mirror to our habits, encouraging viewers to question their own relationship with technology.

Babil Khan’s Intense Dive into Character

Babil Khan’s portrayal of Pratyush marks a major shift from his earlier performances. In Log Out, he embodies the anxiety, paranoia, and vulnerability of a young man drowning in the pressures of internet fame. The role demanded Babil to push beyond his comfort zone, and early glimpses in the trailer suggest he’s delivered a raw and honest performance.

Global Recognition Ahead of Release

Before its streaming debut, Log Out made waves at several international film festivals, gaining praise for its bold storytelling and thematic depth. Its universal message — that digital dependence is a global concern — has already started resonating with viewers across the world.

Why ‘Log Out’ Matters Now

With smartphone addiction reaching new heights and influencers shaping public opinion daily, Log Out couldn’t be more timely. It doesn’t just tell a story — it opens up an urgent conversation about how far we’ve drifted from real-life connection.
