At least three members of a Baloch family, including a child, lost their lives in Balochistan due to mortar fire by Pakistani forces. The incident occurred in the Bungul Bazar area of Awaran district on March 31. Pakistani security forces used heavy weaponry, including mortar shelling, following an attack by Baloch armed groups near a military camp.

The mortar shell hit a residential house in Bungul Bazar, resulting in the immediate death of three family members. The deceased individuals were identified as Muhammad Umar (60 years old), Faiza (57 years old), and their daughter Mahzaib Baloch, a fifth-grade student. The Baloch Voice for Justice condemned the incident, emphasizing the importance of protecting civilians in conflict zones.

The Baloch National Movement’s Human Rights Department called for an independent investigation into the tragedy. Additionally, the organization highlighted other cases of extrajudicial killings and enforced disappearances by Pakistani forces in Balochistan. The rights body urged accountability for those responsible under legal frameworks and emphasized the need for transparency in such investigations.
