Leading Baloch human rights defender, Mir Yar Baloch, penned a letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, addressing Pakistan’s continuous hostility and anti-Israel stance. He highlighted recent remarks by Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, who labeled Israel as “evil” and expressed disturbing sentiments. Mir emphasized that such rhetoric reflects a broader pattern of state-sponsored extremism and regional instability. He criticized Pakistan for allegedly supporting extremist groups and organizing public events for leaders of Hamas, Hezbollah, and ISIS.
Shafi Burfat, Chairman of Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz (JSMM), also criticized Pakistan’s mediation efforts, accusing the country of promoting extremism and terrorism in the region. Burfat stressed the importance of including India in any regional peace initiatives, noting that excluding India from discussions would undermine the legitimacy and effectiveness of such efforts. He warned against allowing Pakistan, perceived as a supporter of extremism, to mediate peace talks, likening it to entrusting a wolf to protect the vulnerable.
