The Balochistan Liberation Front has taken responsibility for a series of coordinated attacks in Balochistan, targeting telecommunications infrastructure and a Frontier Corps post. The attacks, which occurred in different areas, resulted in casualties among security personnel and significant damage to property. The BLF spokesperson, Major Gwahram Baloch, stated that the group’s fighters conducted operations on specific dates in various locations, causing destruction and disrupting services.
In one incident, the BLF fighters set fire to machinery at a mobile tower site in the Bhawani area of Hub Chowki, alleging it was used for surveillance purposes. Another attack involved rocket fire at a Frontier Corps post in the Charfanok area of Shehrak, leading to casualties and infrastructure damage. The group also targeted a Ufone telecommunications tower, rendering it inoperable.
Recent reports have highlighted escalating violence in Balochistan, with attacks on Pakistani forces resulting in casualties and material losses. The BLF has been actively involved in these incidents, including assaults on military camps and alleged state-backed “death squads.” The group’s actions have raised concerns about the security situation in the region and the safety of both security personnel and civilians.
The BLF’s spokesperson emphasized that the attacks were in response to perceived threats and injustices faced by the Baloch people. The group’s operations have been strategically planned to disrupt security forces and challenge the authority of the Pakistani government in the region. The ongoing violence underscores the complex security challenges in Balochistan and the need for effective measures to address the root causes of conflict.
