Bayern’s coach Vincent Kompany acknowledged the challenging first half but praised his team’s efficiency in the second half. Meanwhile, Wolfsburg’s sporting director Pirmin Schwegler criticized his team’s defensive performance, emphasizing the need for improvement to survive in the Bundesliga.
Elsewhere, Borussia Monchengladbach secured a 4-0 victory over Augsburg, while matches between Werder Bremen and Hoffenheim, as well as St. Pauli and RB Leipzig, were postponed due to winter conditions.
