From Television Success to Cinema
Inspired by the 1990s Hindi sitcom Shrimaan Shrimati, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain has become one of Indian television’s longest-running comedy shows. The series is currently available for streaming on ZEE5.
The show’s popularity spawned a successful spin-off series, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, centered on the character Happu Singh, which launched in 2019.
In January 2025, the television series achieved a significant milestone by completing 2,500 episodes, celebrated with a grand cake-cutting ceremony on set by the cast and crew.
Production Details
Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain – Fun On The Run is produced by Zee Cinema and Edit II, with Zee Studios backing the theatrical release. The production team has maintained the show’s signature humor style while adapting it for the cinematic format.
What to Expect
Fans can anticipate the same comedic elements that made the television series a household favorite, now presented on the big screen with enhanced production values. The film promises to deliver the neighborly misadventures, misunderstandings, and comic situations that have defined the show for years.
The February 6, 2026 release positions the film as a family entertainer during the early months of the year, targeting the show’s established fan base as well as new audiences unfamiliar with the television series.
