Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has demanded the immediate dismissal of Telangana Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy due to accusations of corruption and illegal mining. BRS MLAs protested at Gun Park near the Assembly building and later brought up the issue in the House, urging an investigation into illegal mining by either the House Committee or a sitting judge of the High Court.
BRS Deputy Leader in Assembly T. Harish Rao and party working president K.T. Rama Rao, along with other MLAs, staged a protest at Gun Park, advocating for a House Committee inquiry into allegations against Raghava Construction, a company associated with the revenue minister. BRS MLAs also penned a letter to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, requesting an investigation by the House Committee or a sitting judge.
Rama Rao, speaking to the media, cautioned that if the government does not take action, the party will lodge a formal complaint with the Governor and potentially escalate the issue to the public on a large scale if needed.
KTR, in serious allegations against the minister, revealed that the government was rattled by disclosures made by Harish Rao. He highlighted that Harish Rao had uncovered a significant scam involving a senior minister ranked No.2 in the state government, supported by documentary evidence sourced from the government itself.
