Bihar BJP President Sanjay Saraogi criticized the Opposition for protesting against the renaming of the MNREGA scheme to “VB-G RAM G” during a party event in Samastipur. Saraogi accused them of objecting to the inclusion of Lord Ram’s name in the new scheme. He highlighted that the NDA government introduced the revamped ‘VB-G RAM G’ scheme to address the previous scheme’s issues of corruption and inefficiency.
Saraogi emphasized that the Opposition’s objection was not about development or transparency but centered on their opposition to the name of Lord Ram in the new scheme. He alleged that the old MNREGA scheme was plagued with corruption and lacked real progress on the ground. Saraogi stated that the new ‘VB-G RAM G’ scheme aims to promote balanced and genuine development in both rural and urban areas, aligned with the vision of a ‘Developed India’.
The BJP leader reiterated the government’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and effective governance. He mentioned that restructuring schemes like ‘VB-G RAM G’ was part of the efforts to enhance their effectiveness and eliminate corruption. Saraogi’s visit to the state BJP office in Samastipur marked his first after assuming the role of State party President, where he received a warm welcome from party leaders and workers.
