Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar praised young cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi for his outstanding performance in the Under-19 World Cup 2026 final between India and England. Vaibhav’s impressive innings of 175 runs off 80 balls garnered accolades from the Chief Minister, who expressed pride for the state and the nation. The match took place at the Harare Sports Club in Zimbabwe, witnessing a historic batting display by the Indian Under-19 team.

The Indian team, after choosing to bat first, set a formidable target of 412 runs for England in the title clash. Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s explosive innings laid the foundation for this massive score, showcasing his exceptional talent and prowess. His aggressive batting style and ability to dominate the English bowlers were key in India’s commanding position during the final.

Despite an early wicket loss, India’s innings turned around with a strong second-wicket partnership, led by Vaibhav Suryavanshi and skipper Ayush Mhatre. Suryavanshi’s remarkable knock not only stabilized the innings but also demoralized the English bowlers. His quickfire 175 runs significantly boosted India’s chances of clinching the Under-19 World Cup trophy.

The Indian team’s impressive performance, scoring over 400 runs in a high-pressure final, reflects their confidence and maturity on the field. The English bowlers, known for their discipline, struggled to contain the Indian batsmen’s onslaught. With a massive total to defend, the Indian bowlers now carry the responsibility of securing a potential historic World Cup victory.
