Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took part in the Saraswati Puja festivities at the Janata Dal (United) office in Patna. The event, organized by the JDU IT Cell, saw the presence of senior leaders, including Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh and Nishant Kumar, the Chief Minister’s son.
After his return from the Samriddhi Yatra in Muzaffarpur, Nitish Kumar visited the party office to engage in the religious rituals. The atmosphere was filled with devotion as leaders exchanged greetings while the puja ceremonies unfolded. Nishant Kumar arrived early, paid his respects to Goddess Saraswati, and performed the rituals with reverence.
Expressing his intentions, Nishant Kumar stated, “I have come here to worship Goddess Saraswati and seek her blessings. I prayed for knowledge and wish everyone a happy Basant Panchami.” During the event, Union Minister Lalan Singh hinted at Nishant Kumar’s potential political entry, sparking discussions about the Chief Minister’s son’s future role in politics.
Nishant Kumar, known for his modest lifestyle and spiritual inclination, has remained distant from active politics. However, his increased presence at public and party functions has drawn attention from political analysts. His involvement in an event hosted by an official party unit, the JDU IT Cell, has further fueled talks within political circles about his potential political trajectory.
There have been ongoing speculations in Bihar about whether Nishant Kumar is gearing up to continue Nitish Kumar’s political legacy. While the Chief Minister has traditionally kept his family away from politics, Nishant’s rising profile has reignited debates. Many JDU members believe that his political entry could invigorate the party’s youth base.
