Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister, Vijay Kumar Sinha, expressed disappointment upon discovering that the department’s toll-free grievance redressal number was not operational, despite being intended for public assistance.
During a surprise inspection at the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Sinha found the toll-free number, 1800-345-6215, unresponsive, which is designated for quick resolution of land-related issues. He directly confronted officials, highlighting the lack of call responses since morning.
Sinha, after unsuccessfully trying the toll-free number himself, criticized the administrative negligence, emphasizing the importance of the system in addressing public grievances effectively. He instructed officials to promptly address technical issues and ensure 24/7 call center functionality, warning of strict action against repeat offenders.
Reaffirming the government’s dedication to providing transparent and citizen-friendly services in revenue and land matters, Sinha reiterated the priority of efficient public service delivery in Bihar. Since assuming office, he has been actively engaging with officials across districts and making real-time decisions to enhance service quality.
