The Bihar Police have uncovered an illegal arms manufacturing facility in Sarwa village, Banka district, leading to the arrest of an individual. Acting on a tip-off from the Special Task Force (STF) in Patna, a raid was conducted at the residence of the accused, Bodh Narayan Mandal.
During the operation, law enforcement recovered two partially constructed pistols and various firearm components. Additionally, tools and machinery used in the production of illegal weapons, along with live cartridges and fabrication tools, were seized. Bodh Narayan Mandal, with a history of criminal activities, was apprehended at the scene.
A case has been filed at the Dhoraiya police station under the Arms Act, and legal procedures are in progress. The police team involved in the raid, including SHO Amit Kumar and STF personnel, is now focusing on identifying other individuals linked to the illicit arms trade.
Authorities are intensifying their efforts to dismantle illegal arms manufacturing units and combat criminal operations in the region. Banka, situated near the Jharkhand border and adjacent to Munger, has seen a rise in such illegal activities. Munger, previously known for licensed gun manufacturing, has now gained notoriety for its underground arms production.
