Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Chairman Anand Kishore announced the results of the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025. Successful candidates are now eligible for the fourth phase of the teacher recruitment examination. The results are available on the Bihar Board’s official website, bsebtest.org, where candidates can check and download them using their user ID and password.
A total of 442,214 candidates participated in STET 2025, with 2,56,301 candidates qualifying for the examination. The pass percentage was 57.96%, with Paper-1 having a success rate of 62.56% for classes 9 and 10. Paper-2, for classes 11 and 12, had a success rate of 52.17%. The computer-based test had an overall success rate of 57.56%, with women achieving a success rate of over 58% and men over 57%.
The STET 2025 examination took place between October 14 and November 16, 2025, across 23 examination centers in nine districts. The minimum qualifying marks varied for different categories, with the General category requiring 50%, Backward Classes 45.5%, Extremely Backward Classes 42.5%, and Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, differently-abled candidates, and women candidates needing 40%.
BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore congratulated successful candidates and advised those who didn’t pass to keep striving. He mentioned that objections to the Physics paper’s answer key were addressed by a committee of subject experts, leading to necessary corrections and the release of revised results.
