Sanjay Saraogi, the newly appointed Bihar BJP president, visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi to seek his blessings and discuss Bihar’s development. Saraogi presented a memento of Punoura Dham, the birthplace of Goddess Sita, and a Madhubani painting shawl to the Prime Minister. The meeting included talks on Bihar’s cultural heritage and the farming of makhana, a unique agricultural product of the state.
Prime Minister Modi emphasized the welfare of makhana farmers, employment opportunities, and enhancing the sector’s value addition. Discussions also covered the development of Mithila and Bihar, focusing on welfare schemes, cultural promotion, and support for Madhubani artists. The leaders exchanged views on strengthening the Bihar BJP organization at the grassroots level and making it more active and people-centric.
Sanjay Saraogi highlighted the importance of the meeting, stating that it was crucial for Bihar’s overall development, farmer empowerment, and organizational strengthening. During his Delhi visit, Saraogi also met with BJP President J.P. Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss organizational and political issues related to Bihar.
