The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madhya Pradesh has made significant changes to its media wing by appointing 9 state Co-media in-charges, 33 state spokespersons, and 41 media panelists. The new team, approved by State BJP President Hemant Khandelwal, was announced late on Thursday night. State media in charge Ashish Agarwal officially unveiled the list of the revamped media team.
In a strategic move, the party has designated around 11 sitting MLAs as state spokespersons. This decision aims to enhance the party’s communication of policies and accomplishments by involving experienced leaders with strong grassroots connections in media operations. Among the notable appointees as spokespersons are former ministers Archana Chitnis and Usha Thakur, along with several other sitting MLAs.
The appointments, including former MLAs and senior leaders, are part of the BJP’s preparations for the 2028 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections. By strengthening the media team with a mix of sitting legislators, seasoned spokespersons, and active panelists, the party aims to respond promptly to political matters and convey its message more effectively to the public. The inclusion of sitting MLAs as spokespersons underscores the party’s intention to leverage the credibility and public outreach of its elected representatives in media interactions.
With this restructuring, the BJP seeks to establish a more dynamic, responsive, and professional media setup to counter opposition narratives and showcase the government’s initiatives across the state.
