BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul expressed confidence in the readiness of West Bengal residents for a political shift, believing they will support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the state’s advancement. Paul highlighted the alleged injustices faced by the state under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s leadership, emphasizing the people’s desire for a BJP government.
Paul welcomed the Prime Minister’s visit to Asansol, considering it a significant event for the region. She praised the Prime Minister’s efforts in empowering women and promoting their involvement in governance, citing the Women’s Reservation Amendment Bill as a testament to the government’s commitment to women’s progress.
Addressing concerns over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, Paul commended the Election Commission and officials for their work while accusing the state government of pressuring the process and causing irregularities. She criticized the ruling party for allegedly benefiting from voter list discrepancies but expressed the BJP’s confidence in overcoming challenges in the upcoming elections.
