Highlighting India’s technological advancements, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi commended the country’s growth in the tech sector. He criticized the Opposition for not acknowledging these achievements, stating that they failed to appreciate or even make positive statements about the progress. Trivedi emphasized the importance of keeping technological development above politics and expressed disappointment in the Opposition’s attitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Trivedi highlighted BJP’s past support for technological advancements, noting that the party had consistently recognized and praised India’s progress in the tech field when in the Opposition. He urged the Opposition to at least acknowledge and applaud the achievements of the tech sector, emphasizing the significance of bipartisan recognition for such advancements.
Describing India as an emerging nation, Trivedi contrasted this with what he described as the Congress party’s perpetual frustration. He pointed out the lack of recognition from the Opposition for India’s technological strides and emphasized the need for a more positive and supportive approach towards the country’s tech achievements.
The BJP MP’s comments coincided with the World AI Summit in India, attended by global leaders like UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and French President Emmanuel Macron. Trivedi highlighted the participation of prominent global IT companies at the event, showcasing India’s increasing prominence in artificial intelligence on the world stage.
Trivedi recalled past skepticism towards India’s tech capabilities, citing a former Finance Minister’s remarks about Indians’ purported inability to grasp new technologies. He contrasted this with India’s current status as a leader in digital transactions and AI, attributing this success to Prime Minister Modi’s strategic vision and effective leadership.
Hailing Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and his team for their efforts in realizing the Prime Minister’s vision, Trivedi praised India’s advancements in AI. He emphasized the significance of artificial intelligence, highlighting India’s achievements in the field and criticizing those who fail to appreciate the country’s progress in AI.
