In a significant political move in Bihar, BJP National President Nitin Nabin has resigned from his position as an MLA in the Bankipur Assembly constituency. The BJP Bihar President, Sanjay Saraogi, confirmed that Nabin has submitted his resignation letter, which will be formally presented to the Legislative Assembly Speaker. The delay in the process was due to Sunday, but the official submission is scheduled for today, the start of the working week.
Following his resignation, Nitin Nabin shared a heartfelt message on the social media platform X, reflecting on his twenty-year-long political journey. He reminisced that his political career commenced in 2006 after his father’s passing, when he contested the bye-election from Patna West with the party’s support. Expressing gratitude, he mentioned that he had been elected as the constituency’s representative for five consecutive terms, considering it both a blessing and a responsibility.
Throughout his tenure, Nabin worked diligently for the development of his constituency and Bihar, addressing public concerns both inside and outside the Assembly. He also recognized the guidance of senior leaders from various parties and credited party members and the public for influencing his political path. Reflecting on his ministerial role in the Bihar government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, he thanked them for the chance to implement crucial policies and programs.
Nitin Nabin announced his resignation as the elected representative of Bankipur but affirmed his commitment to serving the people in a new capacity within the party. He assured that his connection with the people of Bihar and party supporters would remain strong. Reiterating his dedication, Nabin pledged to continue working towards the vision of a ‘Developed India’ and ‘Developed Bihar’ by 2047 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
