BJP State President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra expressed certainty in the party’s victory in the ongoing by-elections. He mentioned that the Chief Minister appears nervous about the outcome. Vijayendra urged patience from the public to witness unfolding political events.

Responding to queries, Vijayendra welcomed Basangouda Patil Yatnal’s support, believing it would strengthen Veeranna Charantimath’s lead. He highlighted the BJP’s success in Bagalkot and acknowledged support from Congress members. Vijayendra emphasized the party’s inclusive approach to supporters.

Vijayendra exuded confidence in a significant BJP win in Davanagere South, citing disillusionment among minorities with the Congress. He praised party workers’ efforts, anticipating victory in both constituencies. Meanwhile, State BJP Backward Classes Morcha President R. Raghu Kautilya criticized the government for neglecting marginalized communities.

Kautilya lamented the lack of entitlements for backward communities in Davanagere, accusing authorities of insufficient support. He highlighted the challenges faced by students and unemployed youth from these communities. Kautilya also criticized the inadequate housing provisions for families in need, blaming the incumbent Congress for perpetuating social and political control.
