Bharatiya Janata Party’s state President Sunil Jakhar criticized Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, stating that the people will address his failures themselves. Jakhar led a BJP protest at Mann’s residence, questioning the Aam Aadmi Party government’s handling of law and order issues, gangsterism, corruption, and drug problems in Punjab.
Jakhar emphasized the demand for a Punjabi Chief Minister, rejecting Arvind Kejriwal as a “super CM” ruling Punjab. He highlighted the deteriorating security situation, stalled development projects, and rampant corruption in the state, expressing concerns over the prevailing “gangster raj.”
The BJP leader urged Mann to fulfill his responsibilities as the elected Chief Minister and not let outsiders like Kejriwal influence Punjab’s governance. Jakhar criticized the government’s failure to address real issues, such as drug abuse and promises made regarding sacrilege incidents, despite launching initiatives like the “war against drugs.”
