The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given the green light to director Arun Varma’s much-anticipated thriller ‘Baby Girl,’ starring Nivin Pauly, granting it a ‘U’ certificate for release. Nivin Pauly took to Instagram to announce the official certification, revealing that the movie will hit theaters on Jan 23rd. The film sees Nivin Pauly portraying a character named Sanal Mathew.
Director Arun Varma had previously unveiled a motion poster on Nivin Pauly’s birthday, introducing him as Attendant Sanal Mathew. The poster depicted Nivin Pauly holding a baby, with the movie also featuring Lijomol Jose, Abhimanyu Thilakan, and Sangeeth Prathap in significant roles. The motion poster, which intrigued audiences without revealing the plot, showcased the main characters, including a police officer played by Abhimanyu Thilakan.
‘Baby Girl,’ produced by Listin Stephen, has garnered attention for its storyline crafted by renowned writers Bobby and Sanjay, known for their impactful narratives in films like ‘Traffic’ and ‘Ayalum Njanum Thammil.’ The film boasts a talented cast and a skilled technical crew, with music by Christy Joby, editing by Shyjith Kumaran, and cinematography by Faiz Siddik. The movie also features executive producers Naveen P Thomas and Santhosh Krishnan, and line producer Akhil Yesodharan.
