The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved the release of director Mohan G’s much-anticipated Tamil-Telugu historical movie ‘Draupathi 2’ with a ‘U/A’ certificate. The film, produced by Chola Chakravarthy of Netaji Productions and G. M Film Corporation, has garnered significant attention from fans. Set in the 14th century, ‘Draupathi 2’ unfolds during the reign of Hoysala emperor Veera Vallalar III, showcasing the valor and resistance of the Kadavarayas of Sendhamangalam amidst the Mughal invasion of Tamil Nadu.
It was previously rumored that the film might hit theaters on January 23 this year, as reported earlier. Actress Rakshana Induchoodan’s portrayal of Draupathi Devi in the first look poster released last year has already made a strong impact. Alongside Richard Rishi and Rakshana Induchoodan, the movie features Natti Natraj in a pivotal role, with a star-studded cast including Y. G. Mahendran, Nadodigal Barani, and others, adding to the historical grandeur of the film.
The technical crew of ‘Draupathi 2’ includes Samrat for Telugu dialogues, Ghibran Vaibodha for music, Philip R. Sundar for cinematography, and Thanika Tony for choreography. Action Santosh has choreographed the stunts, Devaraj is in charge of editing, and Kamalnathan has overseen art direction for the film.
