In a delightful exchange unfolding on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Nothing’s CEO, Carl Pei, now affectionately referred to as ‘Carl Bhai,’ has sparked a meme frenzy that’s capturing widespread attention.

The amusement kicked off when Pei responded to a user’s inquiry about the necessity of a brand ambassador with a candid remark, “We want to sell more phones bhai,” employing the Hindi term for brother. This lighthearted exchange set off a wave of rebranding, with Nothing India playfully adopting the moniker ‘Nothing India Bhai,’ and even co-founder Akis Evangelidis joining in on the fun.

But the banter didn’t end there. Pei cheekily suggested that billionaire Elon Musk consider embracing the title ‘Elon Bhai’ to better connect with the Indian audience and potentially facilitate the establishment of a Tesla factory in India.

This suggestion comes amidst reports of Tesla nearing an agreement with India to commence shipping its electric cars by 2024 and setting up a manufacturing unit within two years. However, Tesla’s previous plans had hit a roadblock in 2022, partly due to unsuccessful negotiations regarding lower import taxes.

Further adding to the camaraderie, Aravind Srinivas, co-founder and CEO of Perplexity AI, jumped into the conversation, adopting the moniker ‘Aravind Bhai’ on X, playfully cementing a partnership between the two.

Carl’s post swiftly went viral, racking up over 1.7 million views and 21,000 likes. The sentiment echoed by many was, “Elon should take the advice.” Additionally, an array of amusing reactions to Carl Pei’s post began circulating, further fueling the jovial atmosphere.
