Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai recently met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to discuss the future development of Bastar post-Maoism. The Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the restored peace in the region and presented a blueprint focusing on tourism, start-ups, infrastructure, and innovation for holistic growth in Bastar. This plan aims to enhance economic progress and living standards in the region.
The development blueprint for Bastar revolves around the strategy of “Saturate, Connect, Facilitate, Empower, and Engage,” ensuring rapid infrastructure expansion and service improvement. The Chief Minister also invited the Prime Minister to visit Bastar post-monsoon to mark the beginning of a new growth phase with the inauguration of major projects. Maoism has been eradicated in Chhattisgarh, including Bastar, leading to advancements in education, healthcare, and connectivity through various infrastructure projects.
The comprehensive vision document aims to transform Bastar into a hub of peace and progress, aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision from a decade ago. The region is set to witness significant growth, creating job opportunities and enhancing access to essential services, marking a new era of development for Bastar.
