A tragic incident involving banned Chinese manja resulted in the death of a five-year-old girl in Hyderabad. The girl was riding a motorcycle with her father and sister in the Kukatpally area when the manja from a flying kite entangled around her neck, causing a fatal cut. This marks the second fatality in Telangana within a span of two weeks due to similar incidents.
The young victim, Nishvika Aditya, was seated in front of her father on the bike while her sister rode pillion. They were en route from Khajipalli in Medchal-Malkajgiri district to Kukatpally when the tragedy occurred. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter following the registration of a case by the police.
In another recent incident on January 14, a 35-year-old man lost his life in Sangareddy district under similar circumstances involving Chinese manja. Avidesh, a migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh, was also riding a motorcycle when the manja caused a severe cut to his neck, resulting in his immediate demise.
