The country’s manufacturing prowess was underscored by becoming the world’s second-largest mobile phone producer, with a substantial percentage of domestically sold phones now being Made in India. Furthermore, investments in semiconductor projects across multiple states and the establishment of a tempered-glass facility in Noida reflect India’s growing sophistication in manufacturing.
India’s focus on localizing the clean energy ecosystem is evident through initiatives like domestic electrode manufacturing and the expansion of solar capacity. The nation’s efforts in establishing a resilient energy supply chain, including the launch of the first ingot-wafer facility, are shaping a sustainable energy future.
India’s global manufacturing footprint is expanding, with achievements such as the rollout of the first electric SUV for exports to over 100 countries and the production of Airbus H125 main fuselage in Bengaluru. Partnerships like HAL–Safran for manufacturing turbine parts further solidify India’s position as a trusted technology hub.
The country’s export ecosystem is also gaining strength, with initiatives like the Export Promotion Mission facilitating a digital framework for exporters. Noteworthy milestones include record defence exports and a significant rise in electronics exports over the past decade, showcasing India’s growing presence in global trade.
