The Congress in Himachal Pradesh has established the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) to enhance decision-making processes within the state. This committee includes prominent leaders, ministers, and organizational figures, as confirmed by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal. Among the 26 members are Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, state Congress chief Pratibha Singh, senior leaders like Anand Sharma and Asha Kumari, along with other ministers and legislators.
The PAC, comprising individuals with key responsibilities in both the government and the organization, is pivotal in advising on political and organizational strategies. It aims to facilitate coordination between the government and the party, addressing significant political issues in Himachal Pradesh. The committee’s formation underscores the Congress’ focus on internal coordination and governance priorities in the state.
The committee’s composition, which includes a diverse representation from various regions and factions within the state unit, signifies its role in consultations on crucial political matters. With the inclusion of ex-officio members from the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and AICC secretaries, the PAC is poised to play a crucial role in decision-making processes at the state level.
