Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Devajit Saikia and head coach Gautam Gambhir, along with others, sent warm wishes for Holi, hoping the festival brings joy and happiness to all celebrants. Saikia expressed, “May the colors of Holi fill your life with joy, happiness, and prosperity!” India’s head coach, Gautam Gambhir, also wished everyone a happy and colorful Holi. Cricket Australia joined in extending their wishes for a joyful Holi celebration to all participants.
Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, along with India stalwart Virat Kohli and various current and former cricket personalities, conveyed heartfelt greetings to fans on the occasion of Holi. Tendulkar shared, “Happy Holi! Hope this day brings positivity, good health, and lots of happy moments your way.” Kohli, through his Instagram story, wished for success, happiness, and positivity to fill everyone’s life during this festival of colors.
The Indian men’s T20I team is preparing for the T20 World Cup semi-final against England at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. They aim to defend their championship title and make history by winning consecutively. Another semi-final match will feature South Africa against New Zealand at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Meanwhile, the Indian women’s team is in Australia for a multi-format tour, concluding with a one-off pink-ball Test at Perth starting March 6.
