G.P. Singh, the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), expressed the force’s dedication to supporting the families of the Pulwama terror attack victims. On the 7th anniversary of the tragic incident, he honored the 40 personnel who lost their lives in 2019. The CRPF remains steadfast in its efforts to assist the families of the martyrs, offering various forms of support such as housing, land allotments, and financial aid.
Nineteen families of the martyrs have already received homes, while others have been granted land with the help of local authorities. The children of the fallen personnel are being provided with compassionate appointments as they grow up, and substantial financial aid is being provided to all affected families. To enhance support and address their daily needs, the CRPF has introduced the Brave Family App, enabling direct communication between the martyrs’ families and the force’s welfare department.
The CRPF’s commitment extends not only to the Pulwama martyrs’ families but also to those who lost their lives in subsequent operations. The force reassures ongoing support and assistance to meet their requirements. The 2019 Pulwama attack, which took place on February 14, 2019, resulted in the loss of 40 CRPF personnel when a suicide bomber targeted a convoy on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway in Pulwama.
