In a vibrant celebration of cultural prowess and academic excellence, JET USA Atlanta recently hosted its annual Prajna Day at Shiloh Point Elementary School in Cumming. The event, a culmination of dedicated learning and talent, spotlighted the achievements of students enrolled in the Prajna program.

Prajna, an initiative by the Jeeyar Education Trust (JET), is designed to instill cultural values and empower children to lead fulfilling lives. Delving into ancient scriptures such as the Vedas and Upanishads, the curriculum fosters a well-rounded development, incorporating teachings from the Bhagavad Gita and tales of venerable sages, alongside activities like yoga, meditation, and devotional singing.

The festivities at Prajna Day were a testament to the students’ diligence and commitment, with a myriad of performances and projects on display. “Witnessing the children embrace these teachings and evolve into holistic individuals is truly inspiring,” remarked one of the educators.

JET USA, a global non-profit organization, stands firm in its mission to enrich human lives through education, service, and ancient wisdom, under the guidance of HH Tridandi Chinna Srimannarayana Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji. Operating across three centers – Cumming, Alpharetta, and Peachtree Parkway – this year’s Prajna program boasted over 80 students and 15 dedicated teachers, including enthusiastic young volunteers. Registration for the program kicks off in the fall, with classes spanning until summer and culminating in the much-anticipated Prajna Day celebration.
