Former South Africa pacer Dale Steyn has ranked the top five Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bowlers in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Yuzvendra Chahal, the leg-spinner, secured the top spot on Steyn’s list for his exceptional performance. Steyn praised Anil Kumble, the former India captain, for his effectiveness at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, placing him at No.5.
Harshal Patel, known for his wicket-taking ability and impact in matches, was chosen by Steyn for the No.4 position. Patel, with 99 wickets in 80 matches, stands as the second-highest wicket-taker for RCB in IPL history. Australian left-arm quick Mitchell Starc was placed at No.3 by Steyn, commending his consistent wicket-taking ability and impressive economy rate.
Josh Hazlewood, the Australian pacer with a remarkable strike rate, secured the No.2 spot in Steyn’s rankings. Hazlewood, currently part of the RCB squad in IPL 2026, has taken 45 wickets in just 27 matches for the franchise. Topping the list was Yuzvendra Chahal, RCB’s leading wicket-taker in IPL history, known for his consistency and match-winning performances.
RCB remains unbeaten in the ongoing IPL 2026 season. Their next match is against the Rajasthan Royals at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati on Friday.
