The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and WWF-India collaborated to organize the ‘Sanjay Van Earth Hour Mahotsav – Forest Ethos’ on Saturday to celebrate Earth Hour 2026. The event aimed to connect citizens with nature through various engaging and educational activities. DDA Vice Chairman, N. Saravana Kumar, emphasized the importance of spreading information about nature, flora, and fauna to raise awareness among people.
The event featured a diverse range of activities such as guided nature walks, biodiversity talks, a raptor exhibition, creative workshops, nature games, yoga sessions, journaling, and photography. These activities were designed to promote environmental consciousness and sustainable living practices. The DDA shared the event on social media, highlighting the significance of sustainability and mindful living in collaboration with WWF-India.
The DDA had earlier invited citizens to participate in the event through a Facebook announcement, encouraging them to experience guided walks, nature trails, photography, journaling, yoga, and immersive forest activities. This initiative aligned with the global Earth Hour campaign, urging individuals to reconnect with nature and adopt environmentally responsible behaviors. Through such events, the DDA aims to raise awareness about conservation and inspire citizens to actively engage in environmental protection efforts.
