Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav will kick off the national-level Advanced Agriculture Festival at the Dussehra Ground in Raisen, Madhya Pradesh. The festival, known as Unnat Krishi Mahotsav, will run from April 11 to April 13, 2026, and is being organized by Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Described as an “Agricultural Mahakumbh” by Chouhan, the three-day event aims to offer farmers a comprehensive solution from “Lab to Field” and “Seed to Market” all under one roof. It will feature modern farming technologies, training programs, live demonstrations, and market linkages to revolutionize agricultural practices in the region.
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari is set to attend the closing session on April 13, where a detailed agricultural roadmap for Raisen, Vidisha, Sehore, and nearby areas with similar agro-climatic conditions will be unveiled.
The festival will host around 300 stalls showcasing advanced seeds, drones, micro-irrigation systems, modern farm machinery, food processing, animal husbandry, fisheries, Farmer-Producer Organisations (FPOs), natural farming, and rural livelihood initiatives. Various prominent organizations including ICAR, State Agricultural Universities, Krishi Vigyan Kendras, NAFED, fertiliser and seed companies, MSMEs, and startups will participate.
