Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for replacing MP Raghav Chadha as Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha. Sachdeva stated that Chadha’s removal reflects Arvind Kejriwal’s alleged anarchy and corrupt leadership. He highlighted that Chadha, along with other AAP members, faced ill-treatment for distancing themselves from Kejriwal.
Sachdeva pointed out that Swati Maliwal and Raghav Chadha, both former AAP members, were foundational to the party but have now moved away due to alleged mistreatment by Kejriwal. He criticized Kejriwal for not showing moral authority to expel them from the party. Meanwhile, the AAP appointed Ashok Mittal as the new Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha.
The AAP’s decision to not allocate speaking time to Chadha, the incumbent Deputy Leader, has raised concerns. Chadha has been vocal on issues concerning public welfare, gig workers, and consumer rights. Currently, Sanjay Singh leads the AAP in the Rajya Sabha, where the party has 10 members, primarily from Punjab and Delhi.
