Highlighting the concessions on smartphones in the Union Budget 2025-26, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva commended the budget for offering advantages to the youth and protecting the middle class from new taxes. Sachdeva expressed his views after reviewing the 13th Budget proposal of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Delhi BJP State Office.
He emphasized that the budget, which supports sports, sporting talent, construction industry, tourism, pilgrimage site development, and medical tourism, is particularly favorable for the youth. Sachdeva mentioned that this budget, the first one prepared at Kartavya Bhavan in Delhi, fulfills the government’s obligations to the people.
Sachdeva noted that the government’s provision of a security cover for loans of private builders has accelerated the development of pilgrimage sites, benefiting the construction industry and boosting building activity. Additionally, the promotion of medical tourism under the budget is expected to enhance healthcare for senior citizens and create numerous jobs in the medical sector.
The budget’s focus on the development of AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics) is anticipated to bring new opportunities and enthusiasm to hundreds of thousands of professionals. Sachdeva also highlighted that the growth in the national hotel industry, pilgrimage site development, and cultural conservation efforts will result in the creation of thousands of new jobs.
Moreover, the reduction in customs duty on medicines for cancer and other diseases reflects the Modi government’s compassionate approach. Sachdeva further mentioned that the concessions on smartphones in the budget will benefit the youth, while reduced prices of microwave ovens will be advantageous for homemakers. During the live Budget session, Sachdeva was accompanied by several members of the Delhi BJP, including Dr. Alka Gurjar, Vishnu Mittal, and Praveen Shankar Kapoor.
