Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta shared the BJP government’s vision for inclusive growth in the national capital, emphasizing a balance between development and heritage, sensitivity, and compassion. Highlighting provisions in the latest Budget, she allocated Rs 62 crore to enhance animal healthcare services, focusing on modernizing veterinary hospitals and expanding treatment facilities. The government aims to upgrade existing veterinary infrastructure to provide better care for animals, improving access to quality treatment for pets and stray animals.
Chief Minister Gupta also announced plans to establish 10 modern cow shelters initially, with a gradual increase to 40, demonstrating a long-term commitment to animal welfare. To combat animal cruelty, SPCA committees are being set up in every district to ensure swift and strict action against abuse cases. The goal is to foster a culture of empathy and compassion towards all living beings, shaping Delhi as a city of balanced and compassionate growth.
