Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta criticized the previous AAP government in the Assembly for financial indiscipline and corruption causing delays and cost increases in hospital and school construction. She emphasized the government’s efforts to enhance service delivery in the past year. Gupta pledged accountable utilization of public funds for Delhi’s improvement, focusing on performance over politics. She highlighted liabilities of Rs 2,000 crore for hospitals and Rs 1,000 crore for schools due to mismanagement and corruption by the previous administration.

Chief Minister Gupta also pointed out the non-payment of Rs 24 crore to athletes and Rs 18 crore to EWS beneficiaries by the Kejriwal government. She announced the upcoming opening of three new Metro corridors in Delhi, expanding the city’s metro network to become the longest in the country. Gupta mentioned financial support provided to civic agencies for pollution control measures like wall-to-wall carpeting. She outlined the city’s initiatives for emission reduction and automated commercial vehicle testing to combat pollution effectively.
