Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta assured citizens that there is no shortage of domestic and commercial LPG in the capital. She urged people to avoid crowding gas agencies to maintain a stable supply chain. Gupta highlighted that on April 3, Delhi recorded 1,11,504 LPG bookings, with oil companies delivering 1,26,379 cylinders, indicating efficient clearing of pending demand.
The average delivery time for domestic LPG cylinders in Delhi has reduced to 4.37 days, ensuring timely doorstep service. To tackle black marketing, a control room has been set up to monitor and act swiftly on complaints. Several cases were referred to the Delhi Police control room based on verified information, leading to coordinated raids across the city.
The government remains vigilant against unlawful activities, conducting 22 raids and seizing illegally stored LPG cylinders. Residents were advised not to crowd gas agencies or LPG godowns, as cylinders will be delivered directly to homes within the specified timeframe. The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring seamless and uninterrupted LPG supply in Delhi.
