Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta recently participated in BJP’s campaigning for the West Bengal Assembly elections, criticizing the Mamata Banerjee-led government for failing to address women’s safety issues. Gupta emphasized the need to replace the current atmosphere of fear and corruption in West Bengal with a focus on development and trust, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
During her address in Kharagpur, Gupta highlighted the prevalence of atrocities against women in Bengal despite a female Chief Minister in power. She expressed solidarity with the women of Bengal, advocating for their rights and dignity through supporting the BJP. Gupta, holding the lotus symbol of the BJP, conveyed the voters’ determination to bring about a change in governance.
Gupta also addressed concerns about illegal immigrants, stating that the issue extends beyond West Bengal and poses a national security risk. She emphasized the importance of protecting the rights of the people of West Bengal and ensuring that outsiders do not infringe upon the rights and resources of the state’s residents. Additionally, Gupta had previously campaigned for BJP candidates in Kerala, highlighting the need for a new direction in governance for the state.
