As the West Bengal Assembly elections approach, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed confidence in BJP’s success in the state, stating that even “the lotus will bloom in coal mines.” Gupta highlighted the negative perception of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee among Bengal’s people, emphasizing their trust in PM Modi.
Gupta, speaking to reporters, emphasized the upcoming victory, saying, “This time, the lotus will bloom even in the coal mines.” She underscored the disillusionment with Mamata Banerjee, stating that Bengal now looks towards PM Modi for leadership.
Earlier, Gupta shared her anticipation on social media before engaging with the people of Raniganj and Galsi-Panagarh, praising the enthusiasm of BJP workers in Bengal as a sign of significant political change.
The West Bengal Assembly elections are set to take place from April 23 to April 29 to elect all 294 members of the state Legislative Assembly, with the results to be announced on May 4. Senior BJP leaders, including PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, have ramped up their campaign efforts with multiple rallies across the state.
