Delhi Cabinet Minister and Bawana MLA, Ravindra Indraj Singh, affirmed the government’s dedication to the comprehensive development of rural areas in the city. Significant infrastructure enhancements are underway in various villages of the Bawana Assembly constituency through the Delhi Village Development Board fund, supported by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department.

Projects include the construction of blacktop roads, development of RCC drains, and overall infrastructure improvements in multiple villages. Notably, the long-pending work in Harewali village is now a priority and nearing completion after nearly three decades. These initiatives aim to boost connectivity, transportation efficiency, and address waterlogging and drainage challenges.

Singh highlighted that the development endeavors extend beyond road construction, focusing on fostering sustainable growth in villages. The projects also target enhancing sanitation, healthcare, and environmental conditions to elevate the quality of life for rural residents. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s strategic budget allocation for the Delhi Village Development Board is accelerating the pace and quality of these initiatives.

The allocated budget is set to create modern and sustainable infrastructure in villages, ensuring enduring benefits for the communities. Singh emphasized the Chief Minister’s hands-on approach in overseeing the projects, resulting in improved efficiency and progress. The tangible impact of these efforts is now evident on the ground, reflecting the government’s commitment to bridging the urban-rural development gap.

Singh reiterated the government’s objective of establishing robust road networks, efficient drainage systems, and upgraded infrastructure to offer rural areas amenities akin to urban settings. He expressed confidence that the ongoing and forthcoming development projects will redefine Delhi’s villages, ushering in significant advancements in connectivity and infrastructure, setting a benchmark for sustainable rural development.
