Delhi Minister for Social Welfare and Welfare of SC/ST/OBC, Ravindra Indraj Singh, expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for allocating Rs 80 crore for the Improvement Scheme for SC/ST colonies. This decision is seen as a significant move to enhance the social and civic infrastructure in the national capital.
Singh emphasized the Delhi government’s commitment to the vision of “Viksit Delhi, Samriddh Delhi” and its continuous efforts to elevate the standard of living for all segments of society. The Minister highlighted the importance of ensuring a dignified and comfortable life for every citizen, beyond just executing development projects.
During a program at Maharana Pratap Chowk in Shahbad Dairy ward, foundation stones were laid for street and drainage development works, and ready-mix concrete roads were inaugurated as per an official statement. The government aims to rapidly develop essential civic infrastructure in SC/ST colonies through initiatives like constructing roads, improving sewer systems, providing clean water, enhancing drainage, installing streetlights, and offering other public amenities.
Development activities have commenced on significant stretches, including from JJ Cluster, D-Block, Shahbad Daulatpur (Dairy) to Rohini Sector-25, and from Prahlad Vihar Colony main road to Shahbad Dairy. These projects are expected to not only boost local connectivity but also improve overall accessibility in the area, ensuring a better quality of life for residents. The Minister assured that all development endeavors will be completed on time and with high-quality standards to minimize inconvenience for residents.
