The Counter-Intelligence Unit of the Delhi Police Special Cell has apprehended two shooters associated with the Himanshu Bhau gang from Maharashtra. The arrested individuals, identified as Lakshya and Neeraj, were wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for their involvement in various criminal activities in Delhi, including an extortion-related shooting incident.
Law enforcement authorities had been monitoring the movements of the two accused for some time, offering a reward of Rs 1 lakh each for information leading to their capture. Following extensive surveillance and collaborative efforts by the Special Cell, the police successfully arrested Lakshya and Neeraj in Maharashtra. Besides their criminal activities in Delhi, both individuals are also connected to a significant murder case in Haryana.
The arrest of Lakshya and Neeraj signifies a breakthrough in the ongoing efforts to dismantle organized criminal networks that operate across state borders and internationally. The Delhi Police emphasized their commitment to combating criminal gangs orchestrating offenses within India while being based overseas. Officials issued a stern warning to such networks, affirming that no criminal would escape the law’s enforcement.
In a previous incident, the Delhi Police Crime Branch had apprehended two sharpshooters linked to the Himanshu Bhau gang.
