Delhi Police have conducted operations in the South-West and Dwarka districts, targeting street crime. In the South-West District, two accused individuals, Ayush alias Nikku and Abhishek, were arrested for their involvement in mobile theft and dismantling activities. The police recovered 15 stolen mobile phones, along with other devices and parts, leading to the resolution of four theft cases registered at Police Station Sagarpur.
A dedicated team was formed to address mobile theft cases in the area, resulting in the apprehension of Ayush and subsequently Abhishek. Ayush was caught near Durga Park and Nagarvan Park, with two stolen phones in his possession. The modus operandi involved Ayush stealing phones and supplying them to Abhishek for dismantling and resale. Efforts are underway to identify other individuals involved in this illegal operation.
In a separate incident, the Bindapur police in Dwarka District arrested two individuals, Chandan and Rohan Seth, for a gold chain snatching incident near Uttam Nagar West Metro. Through extensive CCTV analysis and technical surveillance, the police identified the accused, including the motorcycle rider who owned the bike used in the crime. The stolen gold chain was partially recovered from Rohan’s residence.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to committing the crime due to financial difficulties and unemployment. The case has been successfully resolved under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). These cases underscore Delhi Police’s strong stance against crime, with ongoing investigations to dismantle criminal networks.
